crochettank1I saw a pattern once for a sundress and thought it would make a great shirt. This is really pretty year round. You can wear it over a turtle neck shirt, t-shirt, or my favorite, a tank top.

Directions;

Start with your bust piece. Measure the area around your widest point around the chest. Chain that length and connect to make a large circle. Single crochet row by row for about 4 inches. Using half double crochet, make the straps and attach them. I like to outline this entire area with a single crochet around the edging to make sure they don’t come loose over time. That’s the top. Now flip it over and attach your yarn. Now for the first row, double crochet three as usual, chain one, skip two stitches and double crochet three as usual and repeat to complete the row. You will now have the beginning of a granny square type stitch. Turn the shirt over and double crochet three into the first gap, chain one, double crochet three into the next gap and so on, row by row until desired length. Mine comes down to mid thigh. Trim the bottom in single stitch with alternating color. All done!
