wpid-IMG_20130325_193009.jpgAlways searching for ideas on how to make something new. I came up with this one all on my own. I liked the warmth of a good fleece blanket, but hate the looks of it. And the whole knot thing on the edges? It seems too common. So, here goes.

Directions;

To start with, choose the fleece that you want to make a blanket out of. Cut it into squares. Then choose two colors of yarn that goes along with it. Divide the squares of fleece into two piles. For each pile, crochet squares to match the size and number of each square and pile. Make sure to use a single crochet. It’s cuter and much warmer. Once all crocheted squares are all done, using a yarn needle, sew each crocheted square to each fleece square using a slip stitch. Then, making sure one color of yarn faces up and one down when sewing them together using the same stitch. So, now you should have a large quilt with rough edges. Using each slip stitch and one color of yarn, crochet using a double crochet stitch around the circumference of the quilt. Make as many rows as you like. I also used the other color of yarn and made an edge around the edge.
